A three-lot residential development on a sloping suburban site in Auckland.

HanEng prepared the civil engineering design for the shared accessway serving all three lots. The accessway climbs the site at grades that were refined lot-by-lot to set achievable finished floor levels, with a permeable paver section to manage stormwater at source and a concrete channel to direct runoff.

Beneath the accessway, a 150 mm stormwater line collects flows from each lot’s detention and retention tank before discharging to the public network in the street. New wastewater manholes and lot connections — including a private pump station for the lowest lot — tie the development into the existing network, with clearances reviewed by Watercare.

The Engineering Plan Approval was granted by Auckland Council in August 2026.
